It is a warm July morning with thick humid air for much of the state.

Most of the region is reporting mid to upper 70s at sunrise. Winds are light and about 5-10mph out of the South Wednesday morning.

Later on Wednesday, it will be hot with temperatures in the upper 90s, (97 here in the metro) with slightly higher temperatures out in western Oklahoma.

By 2 to 4 p.m., a cool front will be in the state pushing south, and showers may develop on this line giving us a 20 percent or greater chance for showers.

The best chances for rain will be the eastern one third of the state.

Wednesday night, the slight chance for showers stays in the forecast. Once the front passes your area, you can expect North winds 5-15mph.

Overnight temperatures will be in the low 70s for much of the state.
