Authorities: Inmate Escapes From Minimum Security Prison In El Reno

Authorities are looking for an inmate who escaped from the federal corrections institute in El Reno.

According to authorities, 50-year-old Salvador Barrera escaped from the minimum security Satellite Prison Camp in El Reno. He was discovered missing Thursday afternoon.

Barrera stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was sentenced in east Texas to 130 months behind bars. He was convicted of conspiracy to possess, manufacture and distribute methamphetamine.

It is unclear at this time how Barrera escaped or if deputies believe he is still in the area.

This is the second escaped convict in the last two days. On Thursday, we reported on another escapee out Greer County. That man is also still on the run.
