A new comedy series coming to TV is spreading anger among plenty of people, including a lot of folks right here in Oklahoma. In fact, one group says the show is "violently" offensive.

The TV show is called "Black Jesus" and it's coming to the Adult Swim channel in August. The show is based in Compton, California, and includes a foul-mouthed Savior.

Several Christian groups are upset with how the Son of God is depicted. The most well-known group is One Million Moms. On their website, they wrote, "the foul language used in the show's trailer is disgusting. In addition, there is violence, gunfire, and other inappropriate gestures which completely misrepresent Jesus."

A pastor in Chicago is also upset. In fact, he's demanding the network publicly apologize to all Christians.

There are also online petitions on Change.org to get the show removed.

Meanwhile, fans of the show call it "satire." They say it exposes our own "hypocrisy" when it comes to Christianity and each other, and hopes those who watch the show will re-evaluate how they live their lives.
