My 2 Cents: Where Are All The Gentlemen?

Where did all the gentlemen go? In the last few days I've heard nationally known celebrities warning women not to provoke men to violence, what is that?

Just a few years ago, if man attacked a woman every other man in the room would come to her defense, now they just scramble to grab their camera phones.

Monday, while talking about the Ray Rice case, Whoopi Goldberg warned women if you hit a man expect to be hit back. She said do not live with this idea that men have this chivalry thing still with them.

Men, it is a disgrace that any woman feels that way, and it's on us.

Your dad should have taught you how to be a gentleman. If not, your mom should have demanded you be one. But let's be honest, a lot of guys aren't getting it at home, so it's up to those who did to be intentional and set the example. And I mean start tomorrow.

Get your butt up out of that chair and let a lady have it when she enters the room. Men use to always do that. Help a woman having car trouble, always hold doors open for girls and women. Simply put, treat women with the respect they deserve and they'll treat you with the respect you desire.

And dads, make sure your daughters know to find a guy like that, because if a boy walks into my house first with my daughter trailing behind, he'll be walking right back out.
