Semi, Greyhound Bus Involved In Crash On EB I-40

Crews were called to an accident involving a Greyhound bus and a semi on the eastbound side of Interstate 40, Wednesday evening.

I-40 eastbound just west of the Amarillo junction has been shut down due to the crash. Traffic in the area is being diverted to Portland while crews work the scene.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), a total of nine people were injured in this crash. All nine were transported to five different hospitals with only minor injuries.

Troopers reopened the highway at approximately 8:15 p.m.
