My 2 Cents: Peanut Butter Cheerios Ad Shows Dads Are Cool

I have lamented previously in My 2 Cents about the damage Madison Avenue has inflicted on fathers by depicting us in commercials as bumbling rubes who wouldn't come in out of the rain if our wives didn't tell us to.

Some of it's funny, but it's constant and damaging to fatherhood.

Hats off to Peanut Butter Cheerios for a new spot that actually makes dads look cool.

Dads are cool and different than Moms in a wonderful way.

I really like that this commercial embraces the adventurous, fun loving and leadership qualities a man should bring to his family.

Think I'll go home and have a bowl of Peanut Butter Cheerios, after I scare my kids!
