Power has been restored to residents in the Midwest City, Choctaw and Harrah areas. 

Officials say a car crashed into a transformer, causing thousands of residents to lose power Saturday evening.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, a car hit a transformer at the Horseshoe Lake power facility of OG&E, located at 3600 Luther Road.

OG&E says over 20,000 residents in the Midwest City, Choctaw and Harrah areas were affected.
