Shawnee Police Identify Body Found In North Canadian River

Shawnee police have identified a woman whose body was found in the North Canadian River last Friday.

A woman's body was recovered about a half mile east of South Beard Bridge in the North Canadian River. On Monday, Shawnee Detective Jason Crouch told News 9 that police have identified the woman as 25-year-old Casie Michelle Johnson.

Shawnee police have questioned one person about Johnson's death and are currently looking for a second person for questioning.

Crouch said the preliminary autopsy did not show anything suspicious, and the investigation is ongoing.
