Accident Snarls Traffic On WB I-40 In Del City

Traffic is backed up in the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 in Del City due to an accident Monday afternoon.

According to authorities, a tire reportedly struck the windshield of a vehicle in the westbound lanes of I-40 at Sooner Road.

Two lanes of I-40 are shut down at this time, as crews work to clear the scene of the accident.
