'Remote Area Medical Clinic' Underway At OKC State Fair Park

Doctors and dentists from around the state are donating their services for free this weekend. The 2014 Remote Area Medical Clinic started early Saturday at the State Fair Park in the Expo Hall.

Doctors and dentists from around the state are donating their services for free this weekend. 

The 2014 Remote Area Medical Clinic started early Saturday at the State Fair Park in the Expo Hall. Health Professionals were offering free dental and vision care, as well as limited medical care.

Event Organizers started passing out numbers at 4 a.m. and the doors opened at 6 a.m.

“Today is a set-up of a full free health care clinic. We do free dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, vision exam with glasses. We have a mobile lab on sight. Also, medical exams including women health sports physicals, and general physical checkups,” said Chris Hall, Chief Operating Officer for Remote Area Medical Clinic.

Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. It will be the same schedule on Sunday.
