Emergency crews responded to an auto accident on the westbound side of Interstate 40 just west of Air Depot Blvd. in Midwest City, Wednesday afternoon.
Police blocked off all of the westbound side of I-40 in the area while they worked the scene. Investigators say a single SUV was involved in the rollover crash. Two adults were transported via ambulance from the scene. The severity of their injuries is not known.
Police say a toddler was ejected from the vehicle into the eastbound lanes of I-40. A Good Samaritan saw the child, stopped and took the toddler to authorities on the scene. Miraculously, the child only suffered minor injuries.
Traffic was closed off for approximately one hour and thirty minutes before being reopened at 2 p.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
