The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s office is looking for forever homes for several dogs found abandoned and malnourished in Luther, Oklahoma.

According to the Sheriff’s office, on August 11, deputies responded to the report of animal abuse in the 21000 block of E. Bowman Road in Luther. When they arrived, they found seven dogs, most appeared to be malnourished and didn’t have any water or food.

According to witnesses, the owner of the dogs had moved to Oregon and abandoned the animals. Deputies were able to obtain a search warrant for the property and rescue all of the dogs.

Blaze’s Tribute Equine Rescue Inc. took in the dogs and is currently caring for them. However, the Sheriff’s office said the dogs will need to find forever homes.
