A man accused of killing another man during a fight at an Oklahoma City club was charged with manslaughter on Tuesday.
Police arrested 32-year-old David Bales after a bar fight at The Cove, located in the 1500 block of SE 15th St., on Friday, Aug. 15.
According to a police report, witnessed say Bales punched the victim, 27-year-old Jerimiah Rafford, one time in the face which ultimately led to his death.
An autopsy performed by the state medical examiner's office determined that the blow fractured the orbital plate in Rafford's face, causing a shard of bone to penetrate his brain.
Bales was originally booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a complaint of first-degree murder, but on Tuesday he was officially charged with first-degree manslaughter.
