OKC Spraygrounds Remain Open Through September 28

Labor Day weekend is the unofficial end of summer. But summer fun doesn't end there for Oklahoma City families. 

With late summer temperatures still soaring into the triple digits, Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation officials have decided to expand the city’s sprayground season for another month.

The spraygrounds will remain open daily 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. through Sunday, September 28. In past years, they have closed on Labor Day.

“While most area children are back in school, we recognize that some younger children and families still want a way to cool off during our late summer season,” Parks and Recreation Director Doug Kupper said. “Extending the season through September will continue to provide our children a safe, fun place to cool off.”
