Resident Talks About Living In Dr. Phil's Old House In The Village

Many people may not know this, but Dr. Phil spent some of his childhood right here in Oklahoma. In fact, one of Phil McGraw's childhood homes was located in The Village.

The quaint home is located on Lanesboro Drive in The Village, where celebrity psychologist Dr. Phil and his family once lived. That was back in the 60s when Phil McGraw was just a kid. These days, the new occupant DeShayla McClain had no idea until we told her.

"It's pretty neat to have someone famous, maybe this house is lucky, maybe I'll have my own show too," said DeShayla McClain, who live in Dr. Phil's childhood home.

McClain says she's actually a Dr. Phil fan and catches his shows when she can.

"We watch it on my off days, we watch it, me and my family," she said. "A lot of the stuff that he touches on is kind of sketchy, I wouldn't try talking to people about some of the topics."

Now McClain says she has a newfound feeling of her home.

"I don't know, maybe make me feel like a celebrity when I walk in," she said with a laugh.
