Oklahoma City police arrested a woman who is accused of stabbing her boyfriend during a fight over his text messages.

The victim told police that on Wednesday, his girlfriend of five years, 27-year-old Courtney Swann, became upset when she found out he had been texting another woman and sending her money.

The victim said during the argument, Swann tried to hit him with her fists and he pushed her onto the bed. However, Swann fell onto the floor. That's when she grabbed a folding knife and stabbed the victim in the back, according to the police report.

The victim said following a struggle, he was able to leave the apartment and drive himself to the hospital.

However, Swann told police when her boyfriend pushed her during the argument, she hit her head on the window sill and was knocked unconscious. She said after she regained consciousness, she and the victim began fighting again.

Swann said she used the knife to protect herself, and that the victim grabbed her from behind and held her arms behind her back. She said she did not know how the victim was stabbed.

Swann said when she went to another room, the victim followed her and she saw him holding a black handgun. So she left the apartment.

Swann was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon.
