Stafford Museum Invites Members For Special Events, Discounts

The Stafford Air and Space Museum in Weatherford, Okla. is celebrating several events throughout the month of September, providing discounts for new and current members.

The Stafford Museum is participating in Swaptember, a membership swap with the OKC Zoo, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Science Museum Oklahoma, Sam Noble Museum, Myriad Botanical Gardens, National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, Oklahoma Historical Society and Museum of Osteology. Members can show their current membership cards from any of these organizations and receive $5 off any other listed organization membership.

September also marks the month-long National Smithsonian Membership Drive. The Stafford Museum is celebrating their status as a Smithsonian Affiliate and the opportunity to share the Smithsonian Membership with all Oklahomans by discounting all membership levels by $10.

On Saturday, Sept. 27, the Stafford Museum will once again participate in Smithsonian Magazine's Museum Day Live! 2014. This event allows any participating museum to offer free admission for the day. Visitors must have a ticket to access any Museum Day Live! participant. One ticket is good for two visitors, per email.
