A small earthquake was recorded near the town of Perry, Okla., Thursday afternoon.
The 3.4 magnitude quake struck at approximately 2:52 p.m. one mile east, southeast of Perry, or about 57 miles north, northeast of the Oklahoma City metro area, at a depth of about a mile.
No injuries or damage have been reported with this earthquake.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes of 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest one felt by humans. Damage is more likely with earthquakes at 4.0 magnitude and higher.
