Oklahoma City firefighters have put out a house fire just north of the State Capitol building early Monday morning.

According to the fire department, crews responded to the fire just before 5 a.m. in the 800 block of East Eubanks.

Firefighters reported seeing a heavy amount of smoke coming from the house. A portion of Phillips Avenue was blocked due to fire hoses across the street.
