Plans are in place to open the city's first ever food truck park this Thursday. If you love food trucks, this is going to be the place to be.
It's called Bleu Garten and it's the corner of N.W. 10th and Harvey Avenue, just a couple blocks east of St. Anthony Hospital and a few blocks north of the Federal Building.
This place will host six different food trucks at one time, but at first they'll begin hosting only a couple at a time. It's open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Lunch begins this Thursday at 11 a.m. There will be a couple trucks out here for dinner beginning at 5 p.m.
Oklahoma City has been a hot-spot for these food trucks. We spoke with the owner, Hunter Wheat, who said he's been working on getting this together for a couple years now and he's happy it's finally here. Wheat said there's much more planned for this area including some retail shops.
If you want to see a daily list of which trucks will be out here, there's a schedule on the Blue Garten's website.
Friday night they will be closed for dinner because of the popular H&8th food truck festival that happens every month.
The owner of this place said he doesn't want his place to be seen as a competitor for the H&8th event.
