A small earthquake was recorded near Guthrie, Wednesday evening.
A 3.0 magnitude quake struck at approximately 5:17 p.m. one mile south, southeast of the town of Guthrie, or about 26 miles north, northeast of Oklahoma City, at a depth of just over a mile.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries associated with this quake.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes of 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with earthquakes ranging from 4.0 and higher.
