The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake near Luther Tuesday evening. The 3.3 magnitude quake was reported eight miles northeast of Luther and 19 miles north, northeast of Choctaw.
The time near the earthquake's epicenter was 8:38 p.m.
The earthquake was more than three miles deep, according to USGS.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
