The United States Geological Survey reported an earthquake near Pawnee, Sunday evening.

A 3.1 magnitude quake was reported at 8:44 p.m., eight miles west, southwest of Pawnee and 13 miles north, northeast of Stillwater. The depth was over three miles, according to the USGS.

There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
