OCFD Confirms One Fatality In Newalla Mobile Home Fire

Fire crews responded to a mobile home fire in Newalla, Thursday night.

According to fire officials, it started as a smoke investigation in the 15000 block of Manning Drive.

News 9 has learned that a 70-year-old male victim was found in a hospital bed in the front room of the home. Officials said the victim was under hospice care and may have had difficulties getting around.

The identity of the fire victim was not immediately released, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
