A Sulphur man was flown to OU Medical in Oklahoma City Saturday morning after a crash on a Pontotoc County road, eight miles southwest of Ada.

Gary Miller, 36, overcorrected, partially rolled and hit a tree in his vehicle just before 6 a.m. Saturday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP). Miller was pinned in the vehicle, and then freed by the Vanoss Fire Department.

Troopers said Miller had “trunk internal injuries” when admitted to the hospital. Mercy EMS first took Miller to Chickasaw Medical Center in Ada before he was taken by flight to Oklahoma City.

OHP troopers said the driver smelled of alcohol and cited DUI as the cause of this collision.
