3.0 Magnitude Quake Recorded In Logan County

A small earthquake rumbled near the town of Crescent, Okla. in Logan County Tuesday night.

A 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 7:30 p.m. 13 miles to the northeast of Crescent, or about 44 miles north of the Oklahoma City metro, at a depth of three miles.

No damage or injuries have been reported with this earthquake.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
