Oklahoma City police have arrested a suspect accused of shooting and killing a Blanchard man.
According to police, on October 21, officers responded to the intersection of S.W. 56th and S. Penn Avenue in Oklahoma City, after someone called to say they found the body of a man on the side of the road in front of a house.
Police identified the man as 26-year-old Lance Canter of Blanchard, Oklahoma. Canter was pronounced dead at the scene, and police said it appeared that he had been shot to death.
Early Wednesday morning, officers arrested a suspect in this case, 22-year-old Donte Lemar Payton, on one count of first-degree murder. He is being held at the Oklahoma County Jail without bond.
