Tulsa Patient Officially Tests Negative For Ebola, Being Treated For Malaria

The Tulsa Health Department was notified by the Oklahoma State Department of Health that they received results Saturday from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) showing that a patient currently in isolation at a medical facility in Tulsa County does not have Ebola.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health notified The Tulsa Health Department on Saturday that it received test results from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding a patient in isolation. 

Test results confirmed the patient at the medical facility in Tulsa County does not have the Ebola virus.

The patient is being treated for malaria, according to health officials.

Public health officials told News 9 they will continue to monitor the individual for the required 21-day period in accordance with CDC guidelines.
