Police arrested a man who is accused of robbing three victims in Oklahoma City.

According to police, officers responded to the first robbery at about 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, in the 4100 block of W. Memorial.

The victim told police she was getting into her car when she saw a black SUV pull up behind her, blocking her in. A man got out of the SUV and approached her driver's side door. He then opened the door and demanded the victim's purse.

The victim said the suspect was very apologetic throughout the incident. He reportedly told the victim that he was desperate. The suspect took $20 and handed the purse back to the victim.

A short time later, officers responded another robbery in the 6100 block of W. Reno Avenue. The victim in this case told police that the suspect walked up to her as she was getting into her vehicle. He reportedly shoved a handgun into the victim's stomach, demanding money.

The victim said the suspect in this case was also apologetic and said he was desperate for money. He took the victim's wallet and fled the scene.

And again, at about 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a third robbery in the 5500 block of N. Independence. In this case, the victim said he was sitting in his vehicle when the suspect walked up to him and said, “Give me your wallet.”

The victim said the suspect jabbed the barrel of a gun into his neck. When the victim gave the suspect his wallet, the suspect reportedly grabbed the wallet and said “Sorry but I'm desperate.” He then fled the scene.

On Monday, November 3, police said they have arrested a suspect in connection to the robberies. Jammie Jay Appleton, 38, was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on three counts of first-degree robbery.
