The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake in Garfield County Tuesday night.
The 3.1 magnitude quake was more than three miles deep, according to the USGS.
It shook the area 13 miles north, northeast of Enid and 39 miles west, southwest of Ponca City at 8:05 p.m.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
