Crews Douse House Fire Near OCU Campus In NW OKC

Fire crews were able to douse a house fire near the Oklahoma City University campus, Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the scene in the 2500 block of N. Virginia Ave. around 3:30 p.m.

It is unclear how the fire was started, but residents in the home were able to evacuate to safety without injury. or if anyone was home at the time.

Virginia Ave. had to be shut down while crews worked to battle the blaze. A preliminary damage estimate is not known.
