The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake near Guthrie Tuesday evening.
The 3.1 magnitude quake shook the area three miles north, northwest of Guthrie and 19 miles north of Edmond, according to the USGS.
The earthquake happened at 9:34 p.m. and was more than three miles deep.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
