The Big 12 Conference has released its 2015 football schedule as approved by the league's directors of athletics. Oklahoma opens its 2014 schedule vs. Akron on Sept. 5 as the Sooners meet the Zips for the first time.

The Sooners travel to Southeastern Conference opponent Tennessee on Sept. 12. Oklahoma registered a 34-10 home victory over the Volunteers in 2014 and will make their inaugural appearance at venerable Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn., in 2015.

Oklahoma resumes its in-state rivalry vs. Tulsa on Sept. 19. The Sooners have won 13 of their past 14 games with the Golden Hurricane, including a 52-7 win in 2014 that moved OU to 8-0 against Tulsa under head coach Bob Stoops.

For a fourth consecutive year, each Big 12 Conference team will face a nine-game, round-robin conference schedule. Following an open date on Sept. 26, Oklahoma begins Big 12 play at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium vs. West Virginia on Oct. 3. The Sooners are 3-0 against the Mountaineers since they joined the Big 12 in 2012, including this year's 45-33 victory in Morgantown, W. Va.

The 110th edition of the AT&T Red River Showdown between Oklahoma and Texas will be held at Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas on Oct. 10. The Sooners have won four of their last five meetings against the Longhorns and are 10-6 overall against Texas under Stoops, who has the most victories of any OU coach in this storied rivalry.

The Sooners travel to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State on Oct. 17. During the Stoops era, Oklahoma is a perfect 5-0 at Kansas State. The OU squad returns to Norman to square off against Texas Tech on Oct. 24 seeking to extend its three-game victory string against the Red Raiders. Oklahoma then visits Kansas on Oct. 31. The Sooners have won all nine of their meetings with the Jayhawks under Stoops.

Oklahoma opens the regular season's final month at home vs. Iowa State on Nov. 7 as the Sooners seek to win their 17th consecutive contest against the Cyclones. A road trip to Baylor is up next on Nov. 14. Oklahoma is 21-3 all-time against the Bears, but will be seeking to snap a two-game losing streak vs. Baylor after winning the initial 20 games in the series.

Senior day at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium will be on Nov. 21 as the Sooners wrap up their home schedule with TCU. The Sooners have registered wins in three of their last four meetings with the Horned Frogs.

The Bedlam Series vs. Oklahoma State will be held in Stillwater, Okla., on Nov. 28. The Sooners have registered an 84-17-7 all-time record against their in-state rival, including a 12-3 mark under Stoops.

Dates are subject to change as adjustments are possible to accommodate television partners' requests. Fans will be notified via SoonerSports.com and the official @OU_Football Twitter if there are any changes.
