Authorities: Suspect In Custody For NW OKC Murder

Oklahoma City police said the suspect in an early morning homicide in NW Oklahoma City was arrested Saturday. Authorities said they believe Charles Chambers, 26, killed a woman overnight and stole her car.

Police first responded to the 500 Block of North Sweetgum Avenue just after 2 a.m. Investigators said the victim was shot multiple times.

She later died at the hospital.

"As to what occurred that led up to this incident, we don't know at this time," said Captain Nate Tarver, Oklahoma City Police Department.

The victim's identity has not been released.
