An affidavit released on Tuesday reveals that an Oklahoma City man, accused of shooting and killing his wife, admitted to authorities that he had been having an affair with another woman.
According to the affidavit, at about 3:10 a.m. on November 19, officers responded to the report of a shooting at a home in the 8700 block of N.W. 80th Street. When they arrived, the homeowner, 33-year-old Kinney Glasson, told officers that he and his wife, 41-year-old Erin Glasson, were sleeping in bed when he awoke to an unknown male in his bedroom.

Kinney Glasson said he grabbed his pistol from under his mattress and pointed it at the alleged intruder. But he said the intruder pushed his arm down, causing the pistol to fire at the direction of his wife.
Erin Glasson was struck by a bullet from Kinney Glasson's pistol. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the affidavit, Kinney Glasson told officers that alleged intruder ran from the bedroom. However, police said they were unable to locate the intruder in the house or surrounding area, even with the help from a K9 officer who arrived at the home within minutes.
Police said there were no signs of forced entry to the house, and nothing had been removed or was missing.
According to police, Kinney Glasson's account of the incident did not match some of the evidence found at the crime scene. He was not able to give police much of a suspect description.
However, police said Kinney Glasson did admit that he had been having an affair with a female who is being held at the Stephens County Jail. He said he had been communicating with the woman by email, mail, phone calls, and text messages. He told police he intended to end the relationship with that woman.
On Monday, November 24, detectives went to the Stephens County Jail to speak to the woman who Kinney Glasson was having an affair with. That woman told detectives that she was in a dating relationship with Kinney Glasson. She said Kinney Glasson told her that he was getting a divorce, and that he wanted to be with her when she gets out of jail.
According to the affidavit, the affair began in June, 2014. The woman gave detectives letters sent to her from Glasson, stating that his divorce would be final in January, and that they would be together when she gets out of jail.
Glasson reportedly told the woman that he was going to raise money to get her out of jail, so they could be together.
Based on Glasson's statements being inconsistent with evidence found at the crime scene, no evidence being found of the alleged intruder being in the house, and information showing Glasson had plans to continue a relationship with someone other than his wife, police made the decision to arrest Glasson on the charge of first-degree murder in the shooting death of his wife, Erin.
