It has been a busy day for Oklahoma City firefighters. Crews responded to multiple grass fires in Oklahoma City, on Wednesday.
Just before 11 a.m. Wednesday, crews put out three small grass fires along I-44 near S.W. 74th.
According to the fire department, at about 11:45 a.m., crews responded to another grass fire in the area of Interstate 40 and Morgan Road. Oklahoma City firefighters asked the Mustang Fire Department for assistance.
Crews were able to contain the fire at about 12:30 p.m. Firefighters remain on the scene to put out hot spots.
According to the fire department, just before 1 p.m., crews responded to another grass fire in the 5300 block of S. Independence, near Interstate 44 and S.W. 54th. Firefighters were able to get that fire under control quickly.
