The ruling on the field stands. There will not be a replay of the game between Douglass High School and Locust Grove High School.

In an 8 to 3 vote by the OSSAA board, it was decided that the result on the field will stick and no replay, not even the final minute of the game, will go forward. Locust Grove will go on to face Heritage Hall in the state 3A semi-final this Friday.

A motion to play entire game over was made and seconded. That motion, however, was ultimately defeated.

Head Coach of Douglass Willis Alexander apologized to the board for his profane behavior at end of the game. And board members suggested Alexander not be allowed to attend a potential replay of the game based on those actions, but it was all for naught.

Douglass scored a touchdown to take a 25-20 lead over Locust Grove, with 1:04 left in the game in Friday's playoff game, but the touchdown taken off the board because of a sideline penalty.

Without the points Locust Grove went on to win the game 20-19 and advance to the state semifinals.
