Based on evidence, authorities determined that the shooting occurred in Midwest City. They believe Pennington was killed while driving westbound on N.E. 23rd in the 6700 block.
“We have developed information that a gray, newer model vehicle, drove up next to Mr. Pennington's car while they were both traveling westbound on N.E. 23rd. At that point, shots were fired and Mr. Pennington sustained fatal injuries,” Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes said.
