Quick Goulash
1 pound ground beef
1 Schwab's smoked sausage, sliced and cubed
1 onion
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 red and yellow pepper, chopped
1 large can of tomato soup
2 cups crushed tomatoes
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
salt and pepper
elbow or penne pasta, cooked according to package instructions
In a large saucepan brown the ground beef and smoked sausage over medium heat. Add in the onion and peppers and cook till tender. Pour in the tomato soup and crushed tomatoes. Season the sauce with brown sugar, garlic powder, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer. Pour the meat sauce over the prepared pasta. Top with cheese and serve!
