A lot of people in Moore woke up Wednesday morning to find their car windows shot.
So far, police say they have received nearly 20 reports.
It happened in a handful of southwest Moore neighborhoods.
"It's a pain in the butt,” Nicole Bishop said.
It was not a shot in the rear. It was a shot in the window.
"Our doorbell rang at 1:30 in the morning, and my husband went and answered the door, and there was a policeman outside,” Bishop said.
He told them they were one of many who had been the late night target of vandals.
The next morning Bishop went outside to look at her car and found the window was not completely shattered, but it looks like a glass spider web.
"We saw glass in the street,” she said. “There were several other cars that had their windows shot out as well."
Moore police got between 15 and 20 reports of the same thing, and they all were within a close radius of each other. Police believe a group of teens went on a joyride with a bb gun and went to town.
"We've had similar things like this over the years and normally find that it's 16, 17-year-old kids, and they had no idea how much trouble they really were in just because the values go out the roof whenever some of these car windows are so high and they end up having to take care of all that,” Jeremy Lewis of the Moore Police Department said.
"We're hoping they learn their lesson and change their ways,” Bishop said.
Police were able to track down a Ford Explorer possibly used by the suspects. If you have information contact Moore Police.
