Sony and several movie theater chains caved in to cyber-attackers who threatened to bomb movie theaters that might show a comedy about assassinating North Korea's dictator. I say it's a terrible precedent they're setting by pulling the movie because of a threat.
Here's what you had to say,
Michael in Norman first: "Mark this on the calendar: The first time I've ever agreed 100 percent with Kelly Ogle and his 2 cents."
Chris writes: "America has lost its back bone.."
Leo in Norman: "I like you Kelly! You finally said something right."
Joe had high praise for My 2 Cents: "Better writer than George Wills. George thinks and speaks well but loves obscure writing."
But Kathy in Bethel Acres disagrees with me: "I'm glad there canceling it. If something tragic happened they would be sued. No one wants tragedy to happen especially on Christmas."
Mickey says: "Way to go Sony! Way to show the terrorist how to push your buttons! Show the movie and do not back down to their threats! Never back down!!"
From Sara in Hinton: "Why doesn't Sony just take the hit and stream it all over the net for free all at one time? Remove the threat altogether."
Finally, Eugene in Hennessey summed it up this way: "Once you cave in to that crap you will be backing up forever."
I'm Kelly Ogle and that's Your 2 Cents.
