Oklahoma City police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store early Friday morning.
According to police, officers responded to the robbery just before 4 a.m. at the Conoco on Britton Road near the Broadway Extension.
A clerk told police that the suspect walked into the store, grabbed a can of Red Bull, and came to the counter. However, when the clerk was scanning the Red Bull, the suspect jumped over the counter, pointed a box cutter at the clerk, and said, “This is a robbery. Open the register.”
The clerk said she complied. The suspect grabbed some cash from the register and left the scene.
According to police, the suspect was wearing a grey coat with a light blue under shirt, black pants, a black beanie, and white shoes. The clerk said the suspect had been to the store two or three times during the night. On one trip, he was driving a tan, 4-door Ford car.
