Oklahoma County deputies arrested a woman accused of causing a disturbance at the Court Clerk's office, and telling a 2-year-old child to kill police.
According to the Sheriff's office, on Tuesday, December 16, deputies responded to the report of a disturbance at the Oklahoma County Court Clerk's office. Witnesses told deputies that Tia Ann Ooten, 25, was making a scene by swearing, yelling and gesturing to employees.
Authorities said Ooten had a 2-year-old child with her who she had placed on top of a counter.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they said Ooten was confrontational with them. The deputies asked Ooten to leave. But she refused. While the deputies were speaking with Ooten, Ooten reportedly said to the child, “That's right son. Be a man and kill the police!”
Ooten was taken into custody on multiple complaints, including a misdemeanor count of assault and battery on an officer, obstructing an officer, and disturbing the peace. She is being held at the Oklahoma County Jail on $5,500 bond.
The child was placed in protective custody with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.
