When Christmas festivities come to an end and you're ready to get rid of your tree, Norman city crews will pick it up along with your regular yard waste.
The yard waste pickup is set for the first full week of 2015, from Jan. 5 to Jan. 9. Sanitation officials asked residents to remove any stands or ornaments and if the tree is more than six feet long, officials asked that you cut it in half.
Christmas trees can be placed at your curb or taken directly to the compost site at 398 Bratcher Miner Road in Norman.
And if you have extra Christmas trash, Norman sanitation crews asked that you place those items at least two feet from the polycart.
