Pedestrian Dies After Hit-And-Run In Shawnee

Shawnee police said a 23-year-old driver hit and killed a pedestrian near Harrison and Chandler Streets Monday morning and left the scene.

Jarrod Danner was interviewed and released as the case will be turned over to the Pottawatomie County District Attorney for formal charges.

Authorities said the victim died from his injuries in the crash. Police said it is unclear if he was crossing the road at the time of the accident.
