An early morning earthquake shook awake many residents in the central Oklahoma area.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 12:44 a.m. Friday. Its epicenter was located three miles south of Guthrie and 12 miles north, northeast of Edmond.
It was about three miles deep.
Many News 9 viewers in the central Oklahoma area, including Oklahoma City, Guthrie, Edmond, and more, reported feeling this earthquake.
Two more earthquakes were recorded Friday morning. A 3.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 10:39 a.m., 11 miles west, southwest of Pawnee. And another 3.0 magnitude was recorded at 10:51 a.m., six miles west, southwest of Pawnee.
No immediate injuries or damage have been reported.
