Oklahoma City police arrested two people after discovering two children in their apartment were living in disgusting conditions.

Police said they found a large amount of trash, animal urine and feces, used condoms and drugs in close proximity to two girls, ages two and three at an apartment at 2500 S. Agnew Avenue.

Officers said a 17-year-old was babysitting the children during a welfare check and allowed him inside on Jan. 9.

The officer said a digital scale with marijuana on it was found next to one of the cribs.

There was also a minimal amount of food in the home, he said.

When the officer took a closer look at the victims, he said he found bruising on their faces, legs, ribs and back “consistent with being struck by hands and other objects.”

Authorities arrested 21-year-old Damien Hudspath and 22-year-old Levida Wolfchief for two counts of child abuse, maintaining a place where a controlled substance is kept, two counts of possession of a controlled, dangerous substance in the presence of a child under 12 years old and possession of drug paraphernalia.
