Fire Crews Battle Grass Fire South Of Luther

Crews have gotten a handle on a grass fire that sparked up in a rural area south of Luther, Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out to the scene near NE 108th and N. Dobbs Rd. around 12:30 p.m.

The fire may have been caused by a controlled burn that spread beyond its confines.

Light winds allowed crews to keep the blaze from growing out of hand. Only about 10 acres of land is believed to have burned.
