Oklahoma City police arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting that injured one person early Wednesday morning.
According to police, just after 4:30 a.m., officers received a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon. The victim had been shot one time. He was admitted into OU Medical Center. Police said he was alert and listed in stable, but cautionary condition.
According to police, the victim was able to provide the location where the shooting took place. Officers located the home in the 3200 block of N.E. 13th Street.
Police said they took one person into custody, secured the other occupants and locked down the house. Officers obtained a search waiver signed by the homeowner, and detectives arrived to conduct their investigation.
Wednesday afternoon, police confirmed that they have arrested 66-year-old Ricky Jackson in connection to the shooting. Jackson was arrested on complaints of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction.
The investigation is still ongoing.
