The criminal investigation into a police officer accused of pawning hundreds of dollars worth of city-issued gear was completed. The Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office filed ten counts of Making a False Declaration to a Pawn Broker against Sgt. Travis Smith with the Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD).
Smith, 40, is a 14-year veteran of OCPD, according to authorities.
On Nov. 17 of last year, the department placed Smith on paid administrative leave after beginning the criminal investigation into accusations he pawned off city and police department property at a local shop off S.W. 89th Street and Walker Avenue.

Authorities said Smith remained on paid administrative leave as the department began the internal investigation of the incident.
